Haruka 3 memorial book *hearts*!
I was in search of Haruka 3 stuffs again last night (as usual ;;;^^). Someone has posted a review of the new Haruka 3 memorial book in Chinese and of course I was getting all excited, hoping that my copy will arrive soon! Seven hours later it has arrived at my door along with my Full House Kiss game guides! I found it weird that they have arrived so early, yet I shouldn't really complain. It's a good thing after all~! More Haruka 3 sparkly goods on my bookshelf *_*!

Haruka 3 memorial book is the first memorial book that I have bought. I did have a high-ish expectation for it but it has made me a little bit disappointed (only a little though). The pros first though! It has almost all the information of the Haruka 3 series: characters' design, the front, side and back of the characters, a description of each character, most of the cgs... etc etc. It even has a section dedicated to the animation of the first Haruka 3 game! What impresses me the most is probably the detailed time-line (seven pages) of the real history that Haruka 3 is based on and the events in the game. With the time-line I think I will understand the Haruka 3 world a lot more (a dictionary is a must too)~ Onto the cons! The book contains the cgs of all the backgrounds used in the games, which doesn't really appeal to me... Also it has a section displaying the unused artwork or cgs. I think that section is almost identical to the artbook that comes with the premium version of Izayoi-ki, except that it has additional cgs of Unmei. EBIL KOEI for making fangirls waste money... *is fortunate since she restrained from buying the premium box* I guess the last point is a plus for me... Anyway it's fun to see the 'stages' that the characters went through before their designs were finalised XD! Atsumori is the one who went through the most changes in my opinion. His hair was sooo long before: just like a girl! Hinoe looks pretty much the same all the way through and everyone else hasn't changed dramatically.

The reason why I am a little disappointed is because I like the visual books better than this one! A weird reason I know! I believed wholeheartedly that the memorial book would be a lot more packed with information and goodness than the visual books but it is not that thick (thickness of a book is vital to me ;^^). It doesn't have a great deal of information that I am unheard of... and apart from the unused artwork, I have seen practically all the pictures before. Well it is still a great book and I love it~ I am just disappointed that it didn't surprise me like I had imagined.

I learnt something new about the characters in the memorial book~ Some sharing with everyone ^^:
- When Nozomi talks to a person, she tends to stare into his or her eyes.
- Masaomi tends to touch his ears when he thinks.
- Benkei touches his forehead when he thinks.
- Atsumori gets very red (including his ears) when someone looks at him intently.
- Tomomori likes to lean on a wall or a tree as he stands.
- Hakuryuu tends to pull Miko's sleeves.
- Shirogane puts his hand on his chest most of the time.
(Please correct me if the translations are wrong m~_~m!)

Another interesting information that the book has is the medical record of each character~ I found it funny that Kurou has headaches often! He is a baka most of the time so I wonder what he thinks about that causes him to have headaches *gets chased by Kurou's fans*~ Hakuryuu's medical issue is that he can't transform into his original form?! How is that a medical issue... It seems that Tomomori has no medical issue BUT I think he is the one who has a psyological issue! His over-powering desire! His lust for blood! Maybe his psyological issue is not an issue after all? Is it all part of his twisted personality?! It's weird that many people, including me, are into Tomomori for his twisted-ness. I think it's his wild side that attracts sooo many love from fans ^.^!

Overall I would recommend it if you want to know more about the Haruka 3 world! However for pictures and references to individual events in the games, I would go for the visual books (considering that they come with a lot of posters). I am more of a big picture person hence I prefer the visual books a lot more ;^^~


Since I am on the topic of Haruka, I will continue ranting XD! I was watching the trailer for Haruka the movie ~Maihitoyo~ continuous today. I can't wait for the movie to come out on DVD~ I have no time to play the game at the moment... *sobs* I want to chase after the new character! I am in love with him~ He fits the rain so so much... the sad and elegant atmosphere that surrounds him is similar to that of Atsumori yet he is more mysterious and mature. Sakurai-san's voice is a perfect match for him! It's sad that Sakurai-san has to redraw from many activities because of that copyright issue. Hopefully he will come back soon! I love his voice too much! His princely voice in Princess Maker 4; a serious and mysterious tone for Maihitoyo; his energetic voice in Kyou kara ma ou and in Full House Kiss. I will miss all of that! Please come back soon Sakurai-san!



Time for some sleep to prepare for mad revision tomorrow! Then maybe some Full House Kiss 2 Or Izayoi-ki play time *_*! I haven't played Izayoi-ki for too long and now I have a strong urge to chase after Shirogane!
